Merrie Carlock is a native of White Lake Township and has served on the White Lake Parks & Recreation Committee since 2006. She is a registered landscape architect who is employed by the City of Southfield as their Landscape Architect and Park Planner. Ms Carlock holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Landscape Architecture degrees from the School of Natural Resources and Environment at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She has also taught at both Oakland Community College and the College of Architecture and Design at Lawrence Technological University. Ms Carlock is a member of American Society of Landscape Architects and is a Certified Playground Safety Inspector through the National Park and Recreation Association. Her family's four children all attend Huron Valley Schools in White Lake.
