Founded in 1948, the White Lake Township Fire Department
began as an all volunteer Department, slowly evolving
into a combination Career/Paid On-Call Department.



Currently, the White Lake Township Fire Department has 44 personnel,
which consists of 17 Full Time/Career Firefighters including the Fire Chief,
26 Paid On-Call Firefighters and one clerical person.


The 37 square miles of White Lake Township are covered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by 17 Full Time/Career personnel split between three different shifts. Each day the maximum amount of personnel on shift is four and the minimum is one. The career personnel are supported by the Paid On-Call Firefighters.
