White Lake Township Fire Department

Emergency Medical Services
White Lake Twp. Fire Department currently provides a Basic Life Support service to the community. An upgrade to Advanced Life Support is planned in the near future. Our department currently has 25 licensed EMTs and 9 licensed and ACLS certified Paramedics
	The White Lake Township Fire Department responds to numerous emergency and non-emergency calls including, but not limited to: • Fire suppression (structure, vehicle and grass/brush fires) • Utility problems (downed or arcing power lines, natural gas leaks) • Smoke and odor investigations • Automatic fire alarms • Motor vehicle accidents • Burning complaints • Citizen assists • Mutual aid to other departments

Technical Rescue The White Lake Township Fire Department is part of a Technical Rescue Team in Northern Oakland County consisting of multiple Fire Departments within these jurisdictions. Our department personnel are currently trained in numerous variations of Technical Rescue disciplines:
	• High Angle Rope Rescue (Operations/Technician level) • Trench Rescue (Operations/Technician level) • Building Collapse (Operations/Technician level) • Confined Space (Operations/Technician level) • FEMA Medical Specialist
Other aspects of Technical Rescue are • Vehicle Extrication	Six members of our Department competed at Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Michigan in an extrication competition hosted by RAFT (Regional Alliance For Firefighter Training). Hazmat The White Lake Township Fire Department is also part of the North Oakland County Hazardous Materials Response Team. The Department currently has 8 Hazardous Materials Technicians.
