Republic Services would like to remind everyone that we are running a Holiday Collection Schedule for residential collection service as a result of the Memorial Day holiday.  Collection Service will be delayed by 1 day the entire week.  Residents should place their solid waste, recycling, and yard waste materials out for collection a day late this week.  The following is the holiday collection schedule:

White Lake Township’s current contract and Special Assessment for garbage, composting and recycling is with Republic Services (Allied Waste). trashcan.png



Large items – no charge for most large items.  Call Allied Waste to make arrangements for pickup at least 48 hrs in advance.  All appliances containing chlorofluorocarbons (CFC’s) will be picked up at no charge.


Paint – pour into a garbage bag and dry or mix with kitty liter to dry.  DO NOT cover empty paint cans.


Carpet – must be cut and bundled into 4-ft sections.


Construction Debris - allowed 3 - 32 gallon containers of construction debris or equivalent.


EXEMPT ITEMS - Tires, rims, cement, stones are not covered under our current contract. 



COMPOSTING (April 1st thru November 30th)

Limit -  of 20 compost bags or trash containers clearly marked YARD WASTE, for grass, small twigs or leaves.  Composting is done by a separate truck on your regular pick up day.

Brush – must be bundled and in lengths of 4-ft by 3”-4” or less in diameter.

Christmas Trees – will be picked up the 1st and 2nd weeks in January on your regularly scheduled day.  Tree’s over 6-ft tall must be cut in half.

When holidays fall on a weekday, pick will be on the next day. Holidays are Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day.
