Barbara Ott Memorial

Beverly J. Spoor is a graduate from the University of Detroit. She attended a three-year course at Central Michigan University, which was sponsored by the Michigan Municipal Treasurers Association and is now a Certified Public Financial Administrator. She serves as a representative of the Township Board of Trustees and serves as a member of the White Lake Planning Commission.

She gladly represents as liaison to the Beautification Committee, Past President and board member of the Historical Committee, Past President and board member of Rebuilding Together with Christmas in April, served as representative to Ride with Pride, serves on the Oakland County Senior Advisory Council, President of White Lake Cobblestone Quester Society, serves as liaison on several Lake Boards and several other committees.

Beverly's responsibilities include:

1. Investment of Public Funds
2. Reconciliation of all Township Bank Accounts
3. Dog License Fees
4. Hall & Ball Field Rentals and Fee Collection
5. Special Assessments collections
6. Trailer Park fees
7. Water & Sewer fees
8. Passport Processing fees

The Treasurer collects and distributes property tax funds for the following entities:

1. State of Michigan (State Education Tax)
2. Oakland County
3. Oakland Community College
4. Oakland Schools
5. School Districts
Clarkston Area Schools
Holly Area Schools
Huron Valley Schools
Walled Lake Schools
Waterford Schools
6. White Lake Township General fund accounts
7. Police and Fire funds
8. White Lake Township Library
9. White Lake Parks & Recreation
10. Various Special Assessments including Garbage
Collection and Lake Board Levels.
11.Oakland County Parks & Recreation and HCMA (Huron Clinton Metro Authority)
