NOTICE OF ADOPTION

AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 36, TRAFFIC AND VEHICLES,
ARTICLE II – VEHICLE CODES, OF THE WHITE LAKE TOWNSHIP CODE OF ORDINANCES

Notice is hereby given that at a regular board meeting on May 17, 2022 held in accordance with Open Meetings Act, Public Act 267 of 1976, as amended, the Charter Township of White Lake adopted amendments to Chapter 36, Traffic and Vehicles, Article II, Vehicle Codes of the White Lake Township Code of Ordinances; adopting by reference the Uniform Traffic Code, which purpose is to cope with the problems of motor vehicle registrations, licensing and traffic safety, the Michigan Vehicle Code, 1949 PA 300, MCL 257.1 to 257.923, as amended, the Michigan Motor Carrier Safety Act, 1963 PA 181, MCL 480.11 to 480.25, as amended, which purpose is to cope with the problems of the operation of certain vehicles on highways open to the public, licensing and traffic safety, Chapter 324, Part 821 of the Natural Resource Environmental Protection Act, 1994 PA 451, which purpose is to cope with the problems of snowmobile registrations, licensing and traffic safety and Chapter 324, Part 811 of the Natural Resource Environmental Protection Act, 1994 PA 451, which purposes is to cope with the problems of off road recreational vehicles, registrations, licensing and traffic safety
