About Us

The Building Department is responsible for the administration and enforcement of the State of Michigan Building, Electrical, Plumbing and Mechanical Codes.  In addition, the Building Department administers and enforces ordinance provisions pertaining to fences, pools, unsafe buildings and zoning.

APPLYING FOR A PERMIT

PLEASE NOTE: The Building Department is not currently available on BS&A Online; however, we can process permit applications electronically and offer online payment options. You will NOT be able to apply for permit applications or schedule inspections through B&SA Online at this time.
