Utility Maintenance Worker
The Charter Township of White Lake is accepting applications for a Utility Maintenance Worker in the water and sewer division.
The Utility Maintenance Worker performs duties and tasks required to operate and maintain township water and sewer systems. Job functions include the inspection and repair of facilities, maintenance of portable water reservoirs and pump stations, lift stations, meters, and drainage systems. Responds to complaints regarding water leaks, water quality, water pressure and flooding.
Minimum qualifications include 2 years of experience in construction, maintenance and repair or a related field. The S or D license to operate water supply, treatment and distribution systems is preferred. Candidates not currently possessing these licenses will be required to obtain them.
Knowledge of equipment, facilities, materials and maintenance and repair activities required. Must possess a mechanical aptitude.
The annual salary range is $49,666 to $57,915 with a comprehensive benefit plan, including health insurance, optical, dental and life insurance. White Lake Township has a defined benefit pension plan and paid time off for holidays and vacation.
