Budget/Accounting

 

POLICY: To ensure the money collected and paid out of the Dublin Community Senior Center budget is recorded and maintained in an appropriate manner.  This will require working closely with other departments.

 

PROCEDURE:

1. A triplicate receipt is used when participants register for programs.  The receipt number is logged on the registration forms.  (White copy goes to participants, yellow copy stays at Senior Center, pink copy is submitted with deposit to Treasurers Office)

 

2. Weekly deposits (every Friday) are submitted to the Treasurer’s Office.  Included with the money is a copy of receipts for the week as well as a breakdown of what programs the money was collected for.

 

3. Bi-weekly check requests are submitted to the Clerk’s Office and will indicate what line item the bill should be paid through.

 

4. The Senior Center Director will have a Township credit card.  The limit for purchases is $1,000.00. Anything above that amount must be approved by the Township Supervisor.

 

5.  The Senior Center Director will work with the Township Clerk or his or her designee if and when a budget amendment or adjustment is needed and then it will require the Supervisor’s signature.

 

6.  The Senior Center Director will review the monthly expense/revenue report from the Clerk’s Office. If any questions arise, a meeting will be set up to discuss discrepancies.   

 

6.  The Senior Center Director shall submit a yearly budget.


 

Operational Hours and Inclement Weather Closings

 

POLICY: The Dublin Community Senior Center will be open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.  The center will be closed in observance of Township approved holidays.  In the event of severe weather all scheduled programs at the Dublin Community Senior Center will continue as planned.  However, any exercise instructor or travel company can choose to cancel.

 

PROCEDURE:

1. In order to ensure the safety of the participants, Senior Center staff shall try to stagger lunch breaks so two staff members are always in the building.

 

2. A sign about holiday closings will be posted on front door and in the building prior to the closing.


 

Payment Note

The Dublin Senior Center accepts cash or check only. Checks can be made to White Lake Twp.
