WHITE LAKE TOWNSHIP

BOAT SHRINK WRAP RECYCLING PROGRAM IS BACK!

Please, please, please don’t throw your boat's shrink wrap in the garbage! This material is far too thick, takes hundreds of years to decompose, and cannot be recycled through regular curbside programs.

That’s why White Lake Township has partnered with the Michigan Recycling Coalition to give our residents an easy and responsible way to recycle it!                                   Here’s how simple it is:

1. Purchase a Dr. Shrink Recycling Bag: Available at the White Lake Township Treasurer’s Office for $10 (cash only).

2. Remove your shrink wrap: Cut along the bottom edge of the wrap. Remove the large top section and place it in the recycling bag. (The bottom edge with the string should be discarded.)

3. Drop it off: Bring your filled bag back to White Lake Township—and we’ll take it from there!

The Township coordinates pickup, and the material is transported to the west side of Michigan, where it’s recycled into new shrink wrap.

It’s a win-win for everyone—and for the environment!

Let’s work together to keep White Lake Township clean and green
